Egg donor & surrogacy

Embryo Donation

Embryo donation is a form of third party reproduction. In vitro fertilization often results in a number of frozen, unused embryos after the woman for whom they were originally created has successfully carried one or more pregnancies to term.

In embryo donation, these extra embryos are given to other couples or women for transfer with the goal of producing a successful pregnancy. The resulting child is considered the child of the woman who carries it and gives birth, and not the child of the donor, the same as occurs with egg donation or sperm donation.

Typically, genetic parents donate the eggs to a Fertility Clinic or Embryo Bank where they are Cryogenically preserved until a carrier is found for them. Typically the process of matching the embryo(s) with the prospective parents is conducted by the agency itself, at which time the clinic transfers ownership of the Embryos to the prospective parents.

Women seeking to be an embryo recipient have to undergo infectious disease screening, as well as reproductive tests to determine the best placement location and cycle timing before the actual Embryo Transfer occurs. The amount of screening the embryo has already undergone is largely dependent on the Genetic Parents' own IVF clinic and process. The embryo recipient may elect to have further testing.

Please call and enquire should you are interested in the embryos donated by our donors.

Egg Donor programme

Who are donors?
Donors are women of 18-32 years of age. Our donors may be students, graduates or already have a family. We like where possible to have a proven fertility record. They will have a normal body weight, healthy medical and genetic history and will have tested negative for infectious diseases.
Would you like to become a donor?

We are looking for young ladies of any race, between the ages of 18 to 32 to help childless couples by becoming an egg donor.

If you are an accomplished and attractive young woman we hope you will consider our programme. We realise the enormity of your gift and are dedicated to making the experience as personal and as wonderful as possible.

Donors are well-compensated for their time. You are welcome to call us to discuss the fees.

Male donors
We are also in need of male donors. However, male donors and females donors are compensated differently. Do call us to find out more.

How do we match you with a donor?

Your initial consultation will last approximately 45 minutes, and we ask that both husband and wife be present whenever possible. If you are a long distance from our consulting suite we arrange a telephone consultation where we ask that you call us at an agreed time.

Your consultation with Christine Freeman, our founder provides you with an opportunity to ask any and all questions regarding our Egg Donor Programme and how it works, the legal aspects of ovum donation and what to expect in your cycle.

We want to become familiar with you, including your personalities and interests, so that we can better match you with a donor.

Heart to ART strives to make the process of donor selection a personal and wonderful experience. The information provided about available donors is designed to give a profile which captures her personal qualities and unique spirit.

Following your initial consultation you will be provided the profiles of up to 10 suitable donors.

Our profiles include the following:-

Three generations of the donor’s medical and genetic history, family and mental health history, academic achievements.

Our donors undertake intense personal interviews regarding their personal, family life, personality and the qualities of their characters.

Additional photos of her and her family.

Recipients are often interested in our impressions of a particular donor, and we are happy to pass on the details of our interactions with our donors.

Browse through our selection of donors and call us if you want to know more about them.

Surrogacy

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction whereby a woman agrees to become pregnant for the purpose of gestating and giving birth to a child for others to raise. In some cases surrogacy is the only available option for parents who wish to have a child that is biologically related to them.

Intended parents may arrange a surrogate pregnancy because a woman who intends to parent is infertile in such a way that she cannot carry a pregnancy to term. Examples include a woman who has had a hysterectomy, has a uterine malformation, has had recurrent pregnancy loss or has a health condition that makes it dangerous for her to be pregnant.

Should you wish to become a surrogate mother, please call our consultants for more information.
